New Client Transition FAQs

At Millenia Investments, we are committed to making your transition as seamless and comfortable as possible. We understand that changing financial advisory teams may come with questions, and our goal is to provide clarity and confidence every step of the way. Below are answers to some of the most common questions about your transition. If you need additional assistance, our team is always here to help.

  • You'll have access to OneView, a secure reporting platform provided through a subsidiary of BNY Mellon.

With a single login, you can view: Brokerage accounts, IRAs, Managed Accounts, Mutual funds, Variable annuities, Life insurance, and Other investment assets. Account values are updated daily after the market closes.

  • No. Your fees will not increase, and in many cases we expect to reduce certain investment costs. We have already identified opportunities to lower or even eliminate expenses for some investment positions and will discuss these opportunities with you.

  • Tax planning is one of the most valuable ways we help clients improve long-term outcomes.

Through our relationship with Holistiplan, we analyze your actual tax return to identify opportunities that may reduce lifetime taxes, including Roth IRA conversions, tax bracket management, tax-efficient withdrawal strategies, tax-loss harvesting, tax-exempt and tax-deferred investing, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), Donor-Advised Funds, and estate planning strategies. These services are provided at no additional cost.

  • No. Your current investments will remain in place.

As part of our fiduciary responsibility, we continually review portfolios for opportunities to improve efficiency or reduce costs. If we recommend any changes, we will discuss them with you and obtain your approval before taking action.

  • Some account numbers may change, while others may remain the same. This will be determined on an account-by-account basis, and we will discuss any necessary changes with you.

  • Some automatic transactions may require updates.

Our service team will prepare all necessary paperwork and guide you through the process to minimize any interruption. Promptly reviewing and signing requested documents will help ensure a smooth transition.

  • Most account transfers are completed within 7–14 business days after we receive your completed paperwork.

Your investments will remain invested during the transition, and our service team will keep you informed with regular updates by phone or email—whichever you prefer.

  • The best way to expedite your transition is to review and sign documents as soon as possible.

Electronic delivery and signatures are the fastest and most efficient option. Paper documents are also available if you prefer, and all completed forms will be securely archived for future access.

  • Our first meeting will introduce you to the Millenia Investments team and ensure your transition is completed smoothly.

A follow-up meeting will review your portfolio, answer questions, and familiarize you with OneView and your account reporting.

After that, we'll establish a meeting schedule based on your needs. As fiduciaries, we conduct at least one comprehensive annual review covering topics such as investment performance, risk tolerance, tax planning, retirement income, liquidity needs, beneficiary designations, and estate planning. Clients with more complex financial situations may meet more frequently. Throughout the year, you'll also receive newsletters, webinars, and timely updates on markets, tax law changes, and other important financial topics.
